Operation Write Home

My friend Grace and I decided we needed to do something to show our appreciation of the work our troops do overseas. So we decided to start Operation Write Home.We were aware that our troops in Afganistan have no shops available to them to purchase cards to send to loved ones on special occasions as we are both avid scrappers and card makers we thought that with the help of others we would start by sending Christmas cards so that the troops were able to send cards home to friends and family.
I had been a member of the defence force many years ago and have a son, daughter and son in law who have also served in the defence force.Graces' husband is at present serving with the defence force .
If you would like to help we would welcome it.
Cards need to fit in a C6 envelope. Please leave the back of the cards blank as we will stamp them with "Operation Write Home".
Enclose on a separate piece of paper your name address and e-mail address if you have one.
If you have envelopes to enclose with your card that would be fantastic as we will put each card and envelope into a resealable bag.
Cards need to be in our hands by the 25th November at the latest.
Please contact Grace or myself for the address to send the cards to or with any questions.
This will be an ongoing project as after Christmas we will put out a call for Valentines Birthday and Mothers Day cards.
